This paper concerns the presence and activities of Constantine the Great in Serdica as well as in the provinces of Dacia Mediterranea, Dacia Ripensis and Thracia AD 316-330s. The paper begins with a historical overview of Constantine’s activities in the region, followed by an archaeological overview of Serdica and other areas within the modern territory of Bulgaria, which Constantine may have had a role in developing. In particular, the question of where the Imperial Palace of Serdica may have been located is addressed.Downloads
